Eva Longoria
Evan Jacqueline Longoria was born March 15, 1975 on a ranch in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is of Mexican/American heritage. She is the youngest of four sisters. She attended Texas A&M, Kingsville and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. After college she was voted Miss Corpus Christi USA. She later moved to Los Angeles to enter a talent contest; she was noticed by a theatrical agent and signed for a contract. She did the soap scene for some time, and had roles in The Young and the Restless, General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful. She also had a role in Beverly Hills 90210 and co-starred in The Talent Agency. Eva went to super stardom in 2004 when she landed the role of Gabrielle Solis on the hit TV series Desperate Housewives which airs on Sunday evenings on ABC. The show gave her a wider audience than she had experienced in the past and showed off her acting ability to its best advantage. The show has won several Golden Globes and SAG Awards. She co-stars with Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Nicolette Sheridan. Since winning the role she has gone on to be voted one of the Ten New Faces to Watch by Variety, she was voted Rolling Stone's Person of the Year, USA Today's TV's Hot 11 and TV Guide's New Faces of Fall. While on break from Housewives she filmed an indie film called Harsh Times and also The Sentinel with Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland and Kim Basinger. According to her website, Harsh Times is a low budget indie feature written and directed by David Ayer who also directed Training Day and The Fast and The Furious. Eva plays an attorney in the film. In The Sentinel she plays an inexperienced Secret Service agent. The film is based on the a novel of the same name written by former SS Agent, Gerald Petievich.
