Rhianna
Rhianna Kenny was raised in Leeds, England. She is a singer/songwriter and her debut album called Get On was met with excellent reviews. Not to be confused with Rihanna, another singer, from Barbados, Rhianna writes her own lyrics in addition to singing and contributing to the creativity of her tracks. Get On has been called a "sparkling debut album". She made her mark on the top twenty singles charts with Oh Baby and Word Love. She originally started her career singing back-up vocals for her brother's band, LSK. She did so well that she moved from back-up to singing lead. Sony signed the artist promptly and her first CD was released. Her brother is credited with helping her write several tracks. In addition to original tracks written by Rhianna herself, there is also a cover of the Stevie Wonder tune, I Love Every Little Thing About You. Fans have built a website devoted to her and she has a large following amongst college students. Her deep, heart felt lyrics are much admired as is her ability to write her own music.
