She also appeared on the 2001 The Fast and the Furious soundtrack as a featured artist on a hip-hop remake of Madonna's Justify My Love. After the success of her collaborations with Ja Rule and Big Pun, she released her debut single, Foolish. It went to number one on the Billboard charts and earned her a large fan base. In 2002 she released her debut CD Ashanti, which also went to number one. The CD has since gone platinum three times in the United States. In 2003 she released her second CD Chapter II which also went to number one on the charts. Ashanti released her third studio album, Concrete Rose, in December 2004. Despite its lack of number one status, the album has since been certified platinum in the U.S. and has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Ashanti has also tried her hand at acting with some success. She had a role in Malcolm X in 1992, the Bollywood hit Bride and Prejudice in 2004, Coach Carter in 2005 and John Tucker Must Die in 2006.
