Madeleine of Sweden, Princess
Princess Madeleine's full name is Madeleine Therese Amelie Josephine Bernadotte. She was born on June 10th, 1982. She is the youngest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. She is third in line after her brother and sister for the throne of Sweden. She was christened at the Palace Chapel on August 31st, 1982. Princess Madeleine attended Vasterled Parish pre-school, Smedslattsskolan in Bromma and Carlssons School in Stockholm. From there she went on to Enskilda Gymnasiet in Stockholm where she graduated in 2001. She went on to attend a university in London to study English, but due to the overbearing amounts of photographers who followed her on a daily basis, she decided to return to Sweden to study Art History at the University of Stockholm. In 2006 the Princess began working for UNICEF and moved to New York City. The Princess' best girlfriends and boyfriend since 2002, law-student Jonas Bergström, have joined her in New York. Princess Madeleine is very active in charity work and works in several organizations including those that work with sexually abused children. She owns many horses and is a championship rider and jumper. She is also an avid skier and enjoys attending theatre, dance performances and art museums. Her favored charity is Min Stora Dag which is similar to the Make a Wish Foundation in America. Min Stora Dag loosely translates into English as My Big Day from Swedish. She is a favorite of paparazzi due to her stunning good looks and charming personality. She has, thus far, been able to handle the constant public pressure with grace and dignity. Tidbits
