Biography

Eva Mendes was born on March 5th, 1974 in Miami, Florida. Her parents are Cuban and Mulatto. She is the youngest of four children in her family. She was raised in Los Angeles and went to Hoover High School in Glendale, California. She went on to attend California State University in Northridge but later left college to pursue an acting career.

She appeared in a feature film to earn some money between university semesters and was intending on returning to school when soon after an agent saw her picture in her neighbor's home, he was a photographer and had taken some shots of Mendes. The agent was so taken with her that he persuaded her to leave school to pursue acting full time. She started acting in commercials and music videos and moved on to guest appearances in soap operas. She later appeared in several other major motion pictures including: Training Day, Stuck on You, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Hitch with Will Smith. She also had a large role in Ghost Rider with Nicholas Cage.

She has also done a great deal of modeling; her Latin good looks won the admiration and attention of Revlon, the company signed her to be one of their spokesmodels and she has done numerous television and print ads for the make-up giant. In addition to acting and modeling she has worked in interior design and has written children's books.

She has many new projects coming up in the near future and has become one of the fastest growing Latina stars to hit Hollywood in current years. Look for more of the curvaceous Eva on both the big screen and in print.
