Charlotte Casiraghi
Charlotte Marie Pomeline Casiraghi was born on August 3rd, 1986 in Monte Carlo, Monaco. She is the daughter of Princess Caroline formally of Monaco, who is now entitled Princess Caroline of Hanover. She has two brothers and one sister. Charlotte's grandmother was the legendary Princess Grace of Monaco (Grace Kelly) who was a famous American movie star prior to marrying her grandfather, Prince Rainier III in 1956. Although Charlotte's mother did not give her the title of "Princess" in an effort to give her life some normalcy, she is fourth in line for the throne of Monaco. Charlotte's father, Italian industrialist Stefano Casiraghi, died in a speed boat accident in 1990, when she was only four years old. Her mother moved the family to Saint-Remy de Province in France after his death to allow her children some privacy after losing their father. In 1999 her mother re-married to Ernst August V, the Prince of Hanover. Caroline and Ernst had a daughter together later that year and moved the family to Fontainebleau, France. In France she became an accomplished equestrian and participates in horse riding and jumping regularly. She is an excellent student and received high grades on her Baccalaureate exam in 2004. Because she bears a striking resemblance to her mother, Caroline, and grandmother Grace, her photograph is highly sought after by paparazzi. She has recently begun accompanying her mother on diplomatic visits and is often swamped by photographers wishing to share her image with the world. Tidbits
