Biography

As Paris is to the US Jordan is to the UK. Jordan was born Katie Infield, on May 2, 1978 in Sussex, England. She changed her last name from Infield to Price when her mother remarried after divorcing Katie's biological father. Price was her stepfather's last name. Jordan's own blog spot on the web is quoted as saying, "Before there was Paris Hilton, Katie Price was the original socialite who became famous for being famous." It is unclear if Katie Price also grew up as a wealthy socialite or if the only thing she has in common with Paris is that she is famous for being famous.

She started her modeling career on what the UK calls Page Three, which is the topless page of The Sun newspaper. She also posed for various men's magazines. This is when she decided to take the name Jordan rather than use her given name of Katie. She prefers to be referred to as Katie Price when not modeling and uses that name exclusively as her modeling persona. Her career took off and soon she was being photographed for Front, Loaded, Maxim and Playboy.

But it is her flamboyant antics and party girl lifestyle that she is truly known throughout the United Kingdom and indeed, much of the world. She was a frequent night club partier and was loved by the paparazzi for her wild behavior. Her several breast enhancement surgeries were chronicled in every tabloid in the UK. She originally had a size B cup when she first started on Page Three; she is now a 32 F. Subsequently she was "retired" from posed on Page Three which has an "all natural" policy for its topless models.

Katie had several well published love affairs, two of which bore her children. Her first son, Harvey Daniel, was born on May 27, 2002. His father is Dwight York, a Manchester Footballer. The couple split before the birth of their son. Her second son, Junior was delivered via c-section on June 13, 2005. She later married Junior's father, Peter André, on September 10, 2005.

Katie has written two books, both of which were well received by the public and critics. The first book, Being Jordan, sold 500,000 copies. Her second book Jordan: A Whole New World was published in January of 2006 and sold 300,000 copies in its first six weeks of release. Katie has hinted that she will be retiring her Jordan persona to raise her children and settle down. Only time will tell.
