Biography

Linday Dee Lohan was born on July 2, 1986 in NY City. Her parents were both actors for a brief time, her mother originally a Radio City Showgirl. Her father inherited a pasta company which left the family financially comfortable. Later her mother became a Wall Street analyst and her father traded securities. Lindsey started modeling with the Ford Modeling Agency when she was only three years old. Her red hair and adorable freckled face stood out in a sea of blond haired, blue eyed models. She was soon working very often and moved into commercials soon after.

At age ten she landed her first TV series on the soap opera Another World. She left that show to star in a re-make of The Parent Trap for which she received great reviews. She played both twins in the film and was applauded by critics for her ability to give each twin their own unique personalities. Disney quickly signed her to a three film contract. Her next major film came with her role in Freaky Friday which also garnered great reviews for Lindsey although it did not do well in the US. Her most acclaimed film to date was in Mean Girls in which she had the starring role. It was her first non-Disney role and grossed over eighty-six million at the box-office in the US. The critics loved her in this movie as did movie audiences. She also starred in Herbie Fully Loaded.

Lindsey added singing to her list of accomplishments in 2005 when she was signed to a five album deal. Her debut album Speak went platinum. Her second album, A Little More Personal, did not do as well and was not well received by critics, but she was praised for being closer to the ideal of rock star than her contemporaries, Hillary Duff and Ashlee Simpson. Being that she's quite young she has plenty of time to build her rock singer and movie actress persona. We're not worried, with age comes wisdom and Lindsey's got a lot of aging to do yet.
