Samantha Fox
Samantha Karen Fox, known as Sam Fox, was born on April 15, 1966 in London, England. Her family was long involved in market trading. At a young age she had an interest in theatre and her first stage appearance occurred when she was three years old. At age five she was enrolled in the Anna Scher Theater School. Her first TV spot was at the age of ten in a BBC play called No Way Out. After leaving Anna Scher she enrolled in the Judy Dench Mountview Theatre School at age eleven. In addition to acting she was interested in singing. She formed her first band at the age of fourteen. She was subsequently signed to Lamborghini Records for her first recording deal. She put both acting and singing aside for her modeling career. When she was sixteen she entered and came in second in a topless photograph competition which was run by The Sunday People in 1983. From this she was awarded a four-year modeling contract and she soon became nationally famous. She was a frequent Page Three Girl in the Sun News and later posed nude for several adult magazines including UK Playboy. She re-started her singing career in the mid 80's and released a debut single called Touch Me. The song made it to the top ten in the UK. Fox later had three top 10 hits in the US and Britain. Her music fizzled out by the end of the 80's and she attempted a come-back in 1991 with the release of Just One Night, but the album did not do well. She released another album in 1997 called 21st Century Fox. It was released in the US in 1998 with the single Let Me Be Free. She co-wrote many of the tracks on this album. Although it was very popular with her gay fans, it did not get a great deal of mainstream attention. In November 2005 she released Angel With An Attitude in Canada. Tidbits
