Biography

Jane Harwood was born on March 20, 1973 in Edgware, London, England, UK. There has been dispute over the real year of her age due to the filming of the French film The Lover. The film included some sexually explicit scenes and it has been rumored that her true age was concealed due to her underage status and the provocative nature of the film. Although, it has been established that a body double was used in all questionable scenes, due to the controversy involved the producers chose to keep the true age of the actress a mystery.

The Lover was released in 1992 and was the actress's first major motion picture role. It was based on the autobiographic novel L'Amant written by French novelist and screenwriter Marguerite Duras and published in 1984. Jane went on from The Lover to have parts in the following movies: Color of Night, Never Ever, Tarzan and the Lost City, Provocateur, Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula, and the South African version of Beauty and the Beast.

Jane changed her last name from Harwood to March after the month she was born in.
