Rachel McAdams
Rachel McAdams was born on October 7th, 1976 in London, Ontario. She grew up in Saint Thomas. She is the eldest of three children. She began acting when she was thirteen in theater. She attended Central Elgin Collegiate Institute in Saint Thomas and later York University. She graduated with honors from York with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre. She started her profession in Canadian television and appeared in several different series over the course of her college career. Her movie career took off when she had a part in Mean Girls which was released in 2004. The movie was a huge box office hit and put Rachel in front of American audiences. She received excellent critical reviews for her acting in the role as well. She followed Mean Girls with The Notebook with Ryan Gosling. The couple ended up having an off-screen romance after kissing during their acceptance of a Best Movie Kiss award from MTV. The following year, 2005 she starred in Wedding Crashers as Owen Wilson's love interest. Some other movies she has had roles in include: Red Eye, The Family Stone and Marriage. McAdams has gotten excellent reviews from critics for her acting and her ability to possess a character completely. She has several movies and projects coming up in the next few years. Tidbits
